About the Advanced Concepts in Guardianship Series

Developed in response to the Advanced Topic Program Survey, this series is designed for professionals looking to deepen their knowledge and enhance their practice in guardianship. Featuring expert-led sessions on advanced, real-world topics, the series includes six 3.5-hour sessions aligned with CGC Core Competencies, plus an additional session — Harnessing Mindfulness for Stress Management — added for personal and professional growth.

  • Conflict Management: Handling Difficult Clients, Family Dynamics, and Ethical Decision Making – 3.5 hours/3 CEUs 
  • Professional Communications & Writing – 3.5 hours/3 CEUs 
  • Enhancing Guardianship Evaluations: Assessment Tools and the L.I.S.T.E.N. Interviewing Method – 3.5 hours/3 CEUs 
  • Supportive Decision-Making for Adult-Centered Planning – 3.5 hours/3 CEUs 
  • Preventing Exploitation of Protected Persons – 3.5 hours/3 CEUs 
  • Crisis Response Strategies – 3.5 hours/3 CEUs 
  • Harnessing Mindfulness for Stress Management – 3.5 hours

Requirements

Registration is for all six, CGC credited sessions of this advanced aeries. No textbook required. Handouts for individual sessions. Sessions are on Zoom, so a reliable internet and computer access is required.

Please register using the button below if you are interested in attending. The New Mexico Office of Guardianship will review the registrations and approve those who are approved under the grant. If you are registering for an organization, you must list each individual separately.

Please note: This training is not eligible for CNM Ingenuity funding sources.

New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards

CNM Ingenuity and CNM are proud to encourage ethics in business in New Mexico. This includes hosting the annual New Mexico Ethics in Business Awards and offering a series of courses to teach ethical behavior in guardianship.
